Nazgol Ansarinia
  Nazgol Ansarinia’s work explores the perceptions of
systems and patterns in our immediate environment.
Celebrating the mundane, she investigates how the
subconscious is numbed by the routines and repetitions
of everyday life. She works in a variety of media,
including print, drawing, installation and film, the
nature of her work determining which she uses.

Nazgol (born 1979) lives and works and Tehran. She is
one of three short-listed nominees of the Rolex Mentor
and Protégé Arts Initiative program 2008. She is also, with curator Leyla Fakhr, one of three artist/curator team winners of the inaugural Abraaj Capital Art prize, 2009.
